Henry Mphwanthe is the Founder and CEO of Fast Kwacha. He is on a mission to transform the landscape of digital payments and advance financial inclusion in Africa. Driven by a deep passion for technology-enabled solutions, Henry believes that accessible and innovative financial services are key to unlocking economic potential for millions of underserved people in Malawi and beyond. Before founding Fast Kwacha, Henry served as Chief of Staff to Mr. Strive Masiyiwa, Executive Chairman of Cassava Technologies, where he gained invaluable experience at the intersection of technology, strategy, and leadership on a pan-African scale. His exposure to high-level decision-making and impact-driven innovation inspired him to return home and build a solution tailored to Malawi’s financial needs. Henry holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Oxford and a Master’s in Economics with distinction from the University of Sussex. He is currently an Executive MBA candidate at Oxford, further sharpening his global business acumen. Through Fast Kwacha, Henry aims not only to close the gap in access to financial services but to lead the way in digital payments innovation in Malawi and the wider region. His vision is to build a future where every individual, regardless of location or income, can participate fully in the digital economy.
